Privacy policy

Promote is an app for UGC creators to follow the content they make for brands. This policy explains what we collect, why we need it, who helps us process it, and the choices you have.
Who we are
The Promote app and this website are operated by DIGN.ES LLC (“we”, “us”). We are responsible for the personal data described here. For any question about it, write to [email protected].
What we collect
What you give us
- Account: first name, last name, email address and password. The password is stored only as a salted hash; we never see it.
- Profile: phone number, country, the language of your content, the app language and your time zone.
- Social accounts: the usernames of the TikTok or Instagram accounts you post with for a brand.
- Payout details: the account you want to be paid on (a Wise account or a bank account, depending on your country). They are encrypted before being stored, and the app only ever shows them masked.
- Declarations and messages: what you declare in the app, such as the comments posted while warming up a new account, and what you send to support.
What we collect when you use Promote
- Your published posts: for the social accounts linked to your profile, we read the public data of your posts (link, description, date, thumbnail and video, views, likes, comments and shares) and the public counters of the account. We keep a copy of the thumbnail and the video so the brand can review your work.
- Work and pay records: the review of each post (approved or rejected, with a reason), the bonuses it reaches, and your monthly payouts.
- Devices and sessions: the name and system of the devices you sign in on, the IP address and browser or app version of each session, and a push notification token if you allow notifications.
- App integrity: each request from the app carries a token proving it comes from the genuine Promote app on a genuine device (Firebase App Check, using Apple App Attest or Google Play Integrity). It does not identify you.
Promote has no advertising, no advertising identifiers, and no third-party analytics or tracking. We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.
Why we use it
| Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Create and secure your account, sign you in, verify your email | Performance of our contract with you |
| Show your posts, their reviews and views, your pay and bonuses | Performance of our contract with you |
| Pay you, and keep payment records | Contract, and our legal obligations (accounting, tax) |
| Send notifications: daily reminder, reviews, payouts | Your consent, which you can withdraw in the app or in your phone settings |
| Protect the service against fraud and abuse | Our legitimate interest in a secure service |
| Answer your support requests | Performance of our contract with you |
Who sees it
The brand you work with sees your profile, your posts and their statistics, the reviews, and your pay. Its team reviews your posts and pays you.
We rely on these service providers, each bound to use the data only to provide their service to us:
- Hetzner (Germany and Finland): hosting of our servers and database.
- Cloudflare: network protection, and storage of post thumbnails and videos.
- Google Firebase: push notifications and app integrity checks.
- Resend: sending emails such as verification codes.
- Wise: sending your payouts.
- Public data providers: reading the public posts and counters of your TikTok and Instagram accounts.
We may also disclose data when the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others. Some of these providers process data outside your country, including in the United States; when that happens, transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Your account and profile: as long as your account exists.
- Sessions: until you sign out or they expire; email codes expire after 15 minutes.
- Notifications and push tokens: deleted with your account, or when you sign out of a device.
- Posts, reviews and payment records: kept after your account is deleted, for as long as the law requires us to keep accounting and payment records, and to settle any claim about work done.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask to access your data, correct it, delete it, receive a copy of it, or object to or restrict some uses of it. You can withdraw your consent to notifications at any time. Write to [email protected] from the email address of your account; we answer within one month. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
You can delete your account yourself in the app. See Delete your account for the steps and what is kept.
Security
Data travels encrypted (HTTPS). Passwords are hashed, payout details are encrypted, session tokens are stored only as hashes, and access to our systems is restricted to the people who need it, with two-factor authentication.
Children
Promote is for adults. You must be at least 18 to create an account.
Changes
If we change this policy, we update the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we tell you in the app or by email before it applies.
